Four free mental health workshops presented by the OCA LI, NJ, NY and WHV chapters and the Chinese Adoptee Alliance (CAA).  This is OCA and CAA’s second year honoring AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month with a workshop series.

In the Tainbao era of the Tang Dynasty, Li Shande is a low-ranking functionary in the imperial government set with the seemingly impossible task of procuring fresh lychees from Lingnan province and bringing them back in time for the birthday celebration of the emperor's favored consort, Yang Guifei.

Each year, a celebration of Japanese heritage, art, tradition and food takes place right outside of Central Park at the Japan Parade & Street Fair. This rich cultural event connects New Yorkers and NYC visitors with the local Japanese community.

Salute to Seniors is a celebration of the seniors in our community and includes something for everyone. Plan an outing to attend the event, spend the day, have lunch and enjoy all the attractions. Be sure to bring a friend, family member or caregiver and be prepared to enjoy the day!

SPEAK’s next event is on preparing for the college application process while minimizing stress. We’ll have an admissions officer and some seniors who’ve survived the process. There will be free lunch! 🙏 It’s free but folks just need to register as space is limited.

Every year this event gets bigger! Last year it attracted over 700 attendees who enjoyed the Lion Dance, Korea Drummers, folk dances, music, many workshops for kids and adults, arts and crafts, Origami, Chinese Calligraphy, etc.
