Huaxia Chinese School Community Service Forum

The first Community Service and Leadership Forum achieved great success on May 18, 2025, at Westchester Community College, co-hosted by Huaxia New York Central Chinese School and OCA-WHV. Three representatives from YOCA participated, with Shawn Qiu serving as event MC, Cindy Wang serving as a keynote speaker, and OCA student president Jayden Cao serving as a special guest speaker. In addition to a series of presentations, Jayden Cao and Shawn Qiu engaged in an in-depth discussion on key issues in community service, further deepening the attendees’ understanding of the significance of community service and leadership.

Community service is not only rooted in personal interests but also offers opportunities to engage with and give back to society. The positive feedback generated through these initiatives inspires more young people to explore their paths—encouraging them to reflect on their roles in society, support their communities in ways that resonate with them, and discover the impacts they can make.
