We are excited to share that on Thursday, April 9th, 2026, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM the Department of State (DOS) is hosting the fifth meeting of New York State Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Commission at Rockland Community College. The meeting will include a panel discussion followed by a public comment listening session.
We hope you can join us and share this invitation with your constituents, who are encouraged to attend, offer their perspectives, and provide feedback to the Commission.
The New York Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Commission is tasked with enhancing the community's economic and social well-being and addressing the health and educational needs critical to AAPI communities throughout the state. Its mandate includes making policy recommendations, coordinating programs, implementing public education campaigns, and raising awareness among AAPI individuals about state and local resources.

Location: Rockland Community College, Technology Center (Ellipse), 145 College Rd, Suffern, NY 10901.
Time: Doors will open at 5pm with Meet & Greet, cultural tasting / refreshments and check-in. Program will begin promptly at 6pm.
