About the Event
Join the Westchester Asian Film Alliance (WAFA) in the Scott Room for a family friendly Chinese language film. This program proudly works to provide Chinese families with an environment where their culture is celebrated and appreciated through films. Each film will be screened in either Mandarin or Cantonese with English subtitles.
For June, the film will be the 2017 coming of age drama and war movie , telling the tale of a group of idealistic adolescents in a military art troupe in the People's Liberation Army during the Cultural Revolution. The group experiences all the ups and downs of life against a backdrop of 1970s Chinese song and dance. Directed by Feng Xiaogang and starring Huang Xuan, Miao Miao, and Zhong Chuxi, showcases a turbulent era with wit and heart.YouthYouth
