Sophie Xie

Sophie Xie is a sophomore at Edgemont Jr/Sr High School in NY. She has worked to raise awareness of the AAPI community through the OCA Summer Reading Program and AAPI Youth Podcast. As a counselor in the Reading Program, she built up the syllabus and interacted with kids, promoting diversity and inclusivity for the AAPI community. Sophie joined YOCA’s leadership team to further advocate equality for the AAPI, and continue contributing to the community. In her free time, Sophie likes to read and fold origami.
