LÍKHÂ Gallery

After interviewing Ann Constantino Beck about running Likha Gallery in Hawthorne, I found her story inspiring and meaningful. Ann created Likha Gallery to provide a space for people who may have never felt comfortable expressing themselves. She believes everyone deserves a chance to share their voice, creativity, and experiences. Through the gallery, she has built an environment where artists and community members feel welcome and encouraged to explore their creativity.

Alex Arts Hair Salon

Alex Arts Hair Salon is a Chinese-American owned business in Eastchester that offers a variety of services from men’s/women’s haircuts to hair coloring or perming. Since they first opened in 2019, Alex Arts has become an Asian American community cornerstone where friends meet to talk and get cuts or styling. Yet Alex and his team’s journey wasn’t always an easy one, and his salon only found business and community through challenge and perseverance.

Mister Chen

Mr. Chen’s restaurants have become dependable fixtures across Westchester, known for a blend of authentic Chinese cooking and American-Chinese favorites served with a family-first hospitality. Paul Chen owns Mister Chen in Mamaroneck, Mister Chen Express in Scarsdale, and Mister Chen Seafood and Bar. The shops are best known locally for fresh soup dumplings, which Paul identifies as “our secret weapon” and a primary draw for repeat customers.
