New Bridges Shoebox Holiday/Toy Drive

OCA-WHV is helping our New Bridges Coalition teen group, NBCZ and our sister organization the Urban League to collect toys for low income kids in Westchester at the Lois Bronz Children’s Center. We are collecting new, unwrapped gifts by December 10 and cash donations by December 13 (via the Urban League website, please put “New Bridges toy drive” in the notes when you donate). Our main collection boxes will be at:

• the Urban League at 61 Mitchell Pl, White Plains (open weekdays 9am-5pm)

• the lobby of the India Center of Westchester at 174 Brady Ave Hawthorne NY 10532.

• drop box at 505 Fifth St, Mamaroneck

• collections at Barack Obama School for Social Justice in Yonkers and Rye Country Day School (TBA).

  
  

The New Bridges youth group will sort and pack smaller gifts in shoeboxes, and deliver to the Lois Bronz Center. Some suggested gifts may include warm comfortable clothing, gift cards to White Plains/Greenburgh stores such as Target or local restaurants that kids love such as pizza or ice cream shops, sports equipment, art, crafts and gardening supplies, board games, books, game consoles, and fashion accessories.
